FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is psycho-spiritual therapy?
It’s work that holds mind, body and spirit together, rather than treating them as separate problems. In practice that might look like talk therapy, hypnotherapy, shamanic healing, ceremony or plant medicine, depending on what you need – held in one continuous thread with me, not as separate, disconnected services.

How do I know which offering is right for me?
You don’t need to know before you start. A free 30-minute Clarity Call is the easiest way to find the most aligned next step together – no pressure, just a conversation.

Do I need experience with therapy, shamanic work or plant medicine to begin?
No. Some people come to me having never done either, some have years of experience with one but not the other. Wherever you’re starting from is fine.

Is this therapy, or is it spiritual work?
Both, genuinely – not one dressed up as the other. I’m a trained psycho-spiritual therapist, hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner, and separately an initiated medicine carrier. Which side leads depends on what you’re bringing, session to session.

What are your qualifications?
Full details are on my About page – formal training (BA, MA, PGCE, hypnotherapy and NLP) alongside initiated apprenticeship across lineages from the Peruvian Amazon and beyond.

Is this a replacement for medical or psychiatric care?
No. This work sits alongside medical and psychiatric care, not instead of it – please keep seeing your GP, therapist or psychiatrist for anything they’re already supporting you with. If you’re in crisis or at immediate risk, please contact your GP, 999, or the Samaritans (116 123, free, 24/7) rather than waiting for a session.

What is Kambo, and is it safe?
Kambo is an Amazonian medicine, traditionally used for purging toxins, cleansing and deep reset, applied via small skin burns. It’s not appropriate for everyone – full screening happens before any session. You should not do Kambo if you have had a stroke, heart bypass surgery or an organ transplant, are pregnant, are under 18 or over 70, have severe malnutrition, a serious mental health condition, or are on certain blood pressure medications. All health conditions need to be disclosed in advance and checked against your own healthcare provider’s advice.

What happens in a Kambo session?
Expect an elevated heart rate, nausea, purging, sweating, dizziness, temporary facial swelling and emotional release as a normal part of the process. Every session includes preparation beforehand and time for integration after.

What is a dieta?
A traditional way of working deeply with a plant medicine and the spirit world – over 10 days or more, following a specific diet alongside a plant tincture, with daily guidance and integration support.

Do you offer online sessions, or only in-person?
Psycho-spiritual therapy, shamanic healing, and some ceremonies and teaching can be held online or in person, by request. Kambo and retreats are in-person only.

How does the Inner Alchemy container work, and what if I miss a session?
Inner Alchemy runs weekly, in blocks of 4, 8 or 12 sessions, so the work builds continuity rather than starting fresh each time. Please give at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule. Sessions missed without that notice are forfeited within your block rather than rescheduled – this protects the time held for you each week.

What’s your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
For standard 1:1 and ongoing work – Healing Sessions, Shamanic Healing, Inner Alchemy, Teaching & Mentorship, and Private Ceremonies – please give at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule or cancel; sessions cancelled or missed with less notice are forfeited rather than rescheduled, which protects the time held for you and keeps your container moving at its proper pace.

Kambo needs more lead time because of the screening and preparation involved, so please give at least 4 days’ notice – Kambo sessions cancelled or missed with less notice are also forfeited.

Plant Medicine Dietas and Retreats run to their own extended timelines rather than single sessions, so their terms are confirmed directly with you when you book. Genuine emergencies are always considered individually – just get in touch as soon as you can.

How much does this cost?
Pricing depends on the offering and is confirmed on your Clarity Call. If cost is what’s holding you back, say so on the call – there’s flexibility.

Do you accept insurance?
No – this work isn’t the kind private medical insurance covers. Some clients use flexible health/wellbeing budgets through their employer; worth checking your own policy if you’re unsure.

Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Sessions are held in confidence, the same as you’d expect from any therapeutic relationship – the only exception is if I’m seriously concerned about your safety or someone else’s, in which case I’ll always try to talk to you directly first about what happens next.
